2D Detailing
There are two fundamental computer-aided design (CAD) systems.there is software that focuses on 2D Drafting for 3D modelling, process engineering, part manufacturing as per GD & T. 2D Drafting is the method of using 2D CAD Software such as AutoCAD to produce 2D technical drawings in DWG format.
2D to 3D Drawing
2D to 3D CAD conversion is the process of converting 2D Technical drawings in to 3D Models, 2D drawing in the x and y-axis where a 3D CAD model has the additional z-axis. The difference between a square and a cube.
3D Modeling
There are two fundamental computer-aided design (CAD) systems. There is software that focuses on 2D Drafting and software for 3D Modelling (and the developed 2D drawings, 3D CAD modelling is now the standard within the computer-aided design industry. Reverse engineering is a term used to describe the process of reconstructing an existing product accurately, for different purposes.
1. No 2D or 3D drawings are available, only the tooling excitings to make the parts.
2. Only physical components are available.
3. Development of new product that available in market but no any technical detail are available.
Paper To CAD conversion
Paper to CAD is the procedure converting Paper Drawings (physical or scanned) into 3D CAD models and/or 2D Drawings.
Companies often have libraries of drawings or individual parts which were created prior to CAD (or 3D CAD) and only have the paper drawings on file.
Assembly Drawing
Multi parts drawing are available and you require assy. Design for your product assembly on the shop floor.
Process Design
Finish product design is available and requires a stage vise process control plan for check part feasibility and raw material design to reduce product cost.
